Vendetti’s Brings Italian-American to Midland Greenway Alongside NoFo Brew Co

Vendetti’s Pizza, Pasta & Grill has been named the new restaurant partner of NoFo Brew Co for the space at 434 High Street W, Gainesville, GA 30501. Lovingly referred to as a “food desert” along the Midland Greenway will soon be a food desert no more. 

Born and raised in Georgia, Vendetti’s owners, Cindy and Luis Mendoza are a Mexican-American family who fell in love with Italian cuisine. In the early 2000s, Luis started his career in the food industry working as a chef in several Italian restaurants throughout Georgia. Cindy and Luis fell in love with the food and the Italian culture. Luis Mendoza proposed the idea to open their own restaurant and with tons of hard work and dedication, Vendetti’s was born.

In early 2020, the Mendozas opened the doors on their first restaurant, Vendetti’s, a family-owned and operated Italian-American restaurant at 5456 Bethelview Rd #109, Cumming, GA 30040. “We used every single penny we had saved up and more to start Vendetti’s,” says Cindy Mendoza, “We were brought to tears by the way our community embraced us with open arms. That meant the world to us. There were lines out the door for weeks!” When COVID hit, the community continued to support Vendetti’s with full force and take-out became a huge part of their business.

“We’ve been looking for a second location for a little over six months,” shared Cindy Mendoza, “Hall county is such a tight-knit community and super supportive of local small businesses. We really value that, so when we saw that NoFo Brew Co was looking for a restaurant partner in Gainesville, we were ecstatic! Our family grew up going to Gainesville, visiting the square and enjoying time on the lake. We visited the space on High Street and fell in love with the historic, industrial building.” 

Mendoza shared the vision for the new restaurant is to keep the comforting, inviting, community-focused vibe they are known for, but are excited to push the boundary on design and elevated atmosphere at the beautiful new space surrounded by historic brick walls and original steel beam ceilings.

Vendetti’s plans to bring New York-style pizza, classic pasta dishes, salads, sandwiches, wings and more to the Midland Greenway. People can expect shareables like Vendetti’s brussels sprouts, calamari, fried zucchini and burrata salad as well as classics like chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, meatball subs, chicken piccata, baked ziti, shrimp scampi, veal marsala, calzones, strombolis and more! The Mendoza family also plans to add new menu items specific to Gainesville. The goal for the menu is to fit families of all shapes and sizes where everyone can find something they love.

He continued, “Their concept, delicious food and likeminded attention to hospitality will make the perfect food partner for our patrons and the Gainesville community.”

Vendetti’s also plans to offer a special catering menu for private events at NoFo Gainesville’s brand new 1,600 square foot event space. “You can taste the heart that goes into Vendetti’s cuisine,” exclaimed Eliana Barnard, Director of Marketing at NoFo Brew Co, “It’s so comforting, and the love they put into everything they do is palpable. We are thrilled to have a restaurant partner that shares our passion for the community.” NoFo Gainesville is slated to open in July of 2023 and Vendetti’s shortly after.
