Where to Go on Your Next Ski Trip
Gearing up for your next big ski or snowboard trip? We’ve got you covered! It’s no secret our team loves winter sports. Our core beers, Snow Ghost and Bluebird Day, got their names from the slopes too, of course. From skiing to snowboarding to snow shoeing, we love tapping our adventurous side. We asked our team’s most avid skiiers where their favorite mountains, resorts and ski/snowboard spots were.

Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Did someone say champagne powder? From a festive mountain town to gorgeous tree runs to approachable terrain and sick mountain lodges, Steamboat is Director of Marketing & Events, Eliana’s favorite ski resort. Located about three hours away from Denver International Airport, Steamboat is tougher to get to but 100% worth the drive. If you can swing it, you can also fly direct into Steamboat, Colorado.
After a day on the mountain, venture into town and check out Storm Peak Brewing Co. Grab a beer and the pizza restaurant next door will deliver you a fresh ZAH! Favorite run: Cowboy Coffee on the backside. With 200+ inches of snow already this season, don’t sleep on Steamboat.

RED Mountain Resort, British Columbia
Passport required. Located in Rossland, British Columbia, Canada, Red Resort is full of deep powder through March and beyond. Consistently great snow conditions, friendly people and very short lift lines make this a favorite for our Co-Founder and CEO, Joe.
Not to mention, the terrain is massive. The Josie Hotel is a ski-in, ski-out boutique hotel in RED Resort. After your day on the mountain, grab a pint of craft beer at Rafter’s Pub. Stanley Park Windstorm Pale Ale is a favorite apres ski.
If you decide to venture into downtown Rossland, check out The Flying Steamshovel or Rossland Beer Co. Don’t forget the favorable exchange rate from USD to CAD. Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone about this place.
Whitefish Mountain Resort, Montana
Snow Ghost, the beer you know and love, was inspired by skiing in Whitefish, Montana. Located west of Glacier National Park, Whitefish is home to breathtaking views and pristine terrain. A favorite for multiple team members, this resort is a skier’s paradise. If you love backcountry skiing and Rocky Mountain snow, this one’s for you.
Fly into Glacier International Airport in Kalispel and drive less than 20 minutes to the resort. Because of where Whitefish is located, there is remarkable snow. The town also boasts classic bars, family fun and more.

Zermatt Ski Resort, Switzerland
As one of the largest ski resorts in the world and Europe’s highest ski resort, Zermatt is internationally revered. If you have the chance to venture into Switzerland, consider making it a winter trip. Zermatt is an absolute winter wonderland. Imagine taking an epic high speed train ride through the snowy countryside and pulling into the adorable mountain resort town of Zermatt. On bluebird days, see the iconic Matterhorn peak. You can also have the opportunity to ski into Italy. Just make sure to get back to the Switzerland side of the mountain before the last lift.
The streets of Zermatt are lined with unique coffee shops, eateries, chocolate shops, hotels, restaurants, great après ski spots, shopping and more. This one is on the dream list for many!
Telluride, Colorado
Insane mountain vistas, great terrain variety and a beautiful resort make Telluride, Colorado a top ski resort for us. Telluride is the favorite spot of many of our team members. Stay on the mountain or find a local VRBO close by.
Ranked North America’s #1 ski resort, Telluride is packed with majestic views and tons of activities. In addition to skiing the resort, check out dog sledding, fat tire bike rides, helicopter skiing, ice climbing, ice skating and more. This resort is a great one for families too!

Jacksonhole Mountain Resort
Ah, an American classic. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is another favorite of our Co-Founder and CEO, Joe, as well as a very special spot for Co-Founders, Bryan and Shannon Miles.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, located in Wyoming, is known for its rugged terrain and challenging runs, making it a favorite among expert skiers and snowboarders. With over 2,500 acres of skiable terrain, it boasts steep slopes, deep powder, and spectacular views of the Teton Range. The resort also offers a variety of amenities, including top-tier dining, luxurious lodging, and vibrant après-ski options. If you can swing it, check out Grand Targhee Resort too for shorter lift lines and epic powder – just over an hour outside of Jackson Hole.
After a day on the slopes, head to Roadhouse Pub & Eatery for a local brew, or enjoy modern Mexican fare and margaritas at Hatch Taqueria, and don’t miss out on the French-inspired breakfast spot, Persephone Bakery, for freshly baked pastries and croissants.
With so many great spots to ski and snowboard across the globe, this list just begins to scratch the surface with other favorites like Crested Butte, Banff, Powder Mountain and more! Next time you’re out on the slopes, take a picture and make sure to tag #tapyouradventurousside. In the meantime, if you’re looking for an occasion to break out your favorite ski and snowboard gear, we have just the event for you. Join us at NoFo across all locations on Saturday, February 22 for our annual Get Ghosted Party – an après ski event like no other!
